Because of the drought that has hit the lands of southern Africa including Zimbabwe this year 2019, growing drought resistant crops is a good idear if you want to have sales by the end of the summer season. DROUGHT RESISTANT CROPS To Grow In 2019
1. Sorghum
The sorghum crop is a small grain cereal crop which can survive with water levels as low as 30 mm of rainfall. Because of its resistance to heat and harsh conditions, this can be an ideal crop to grow to prevent the nation from going hungry. It can be grown in natural farming regions 2, 3 and 4 without any problems as long as it is grown carefully. This is almost the same as the finger millet we are going to talk about earlier on based on its resistant and nutrient capabilities.

2. Finger Millet
Finger millet is the best alternative for widely eaten grain cereal crops in this drought crises. In the following months there is going to be a sudden fall in supply of grain cereal crops like maize and finger millet is going to be there to fill in the sudden vacuum in the food market. Besides its resistant tolerance to drought this is also a highly healthy diet which is way better that white sadza meal. Because of its nutrients the finger millet meal is highly recommended by doctors to eat in order to maintain a healthy lifestyle. With that being said, besides just fighting the drought we might end up even making our bodies stronger and healthier in the long run.
